Episode 3: Feedback

Link: Feedback

Daniel and Brad talk about different types of feedback, how to take it in our personal lives, as well as whether or not to give it. We also enjoy a lovely Malbec from Lobo Hills Winery from Washington as well as a Key Lime Pie Mead from Garagiste Meaders in Tampa, FL.

Notes from the producer for the Key Lime Mead and Malbec:

Barrel Aged Key Lime Pie. A fan favorite; the mead is made using Meadowfoam Honey from the PNW combined with genuine key limes from Florida, vanilla beans and gluten-free graham crackers.

We then aged the mead in a freshly emptied barrel from the Tampa Bay Rum company. Not just any barrel; we got their coveted reserve rum barrels that won Gold at the San Francisco International Spirits Competition.

Brown in color. I get brown sugar and citrus on the nose. Flavors of key lime are present with a rich caramel undertone. Iā€™m not sure that it evokes Key Lime Pie in a traditional sense any more. It comes across as a KLP cocktail; which I rather enjoy. More depth and range of flavors after barrel aging.

Lobo HIlls James Vineyard Malbec 2020: This 100% Malbec from James Vineyard in Wahluke Slope AVA is richly aromatic, full of all spice, smokey caramel, blackberries, and raspberries. The palate is silky and rounded, with lingering flavors of strawberries, molasses, coffee, and dark cherries. No fining or filtering of this wine.
